Project Nature Our client is a private company owned by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and the Hong Kong Association of Banks (HKAB). The key objective of the company is to develop and operate a safe and efficient multi-currency and multi-dimensional financial infrastructure in Hong Kong. It operates an integrated financial infrastructure platform for:
- interbank large value funds transfers denominated in HKD, USD, Euro and RMB;
- interbank money settlement of equity and debt securities transactions in Hong Kong via linkage established with the Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited and Central Moneymarkets Unit system (CMU);
- interbank small value funds transfer denominated in HKD and RMB, i.e. the HKD and RMB faster payment systems (FPS);
- interbank clearing and/or money settlement of retail payments in Hong Kong such as paper cheques, autodebits, autocredits, credit card payments, etc.
- the HKMA’s CMU system, as a computer operator.

Duties Serve a permanent position to a financial institution;
Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for development of strategic business initiatives as well as maintenance of existing application systems;
- Participate in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and implementing computer programs;
- Produce necessary documentation whenever applicable;
- Analyse and define user requirements;
- Design and develop systems specifications;
- On call for emergency production incidents and provide fire fighting support.

Requirements - University education with over 10 years’ mission-critical system development experience preferably in the financial sector for Architect (Application Development); over 5 years’ experience for Senior Specialist (Application Development); over 3 years’ experience for Specialist I (Application Development);
- Proficient in Java EE technologies, mobile and web-based development, particularly in iOS/Android development using Swift/Objective-C, Universal Links for iOS Apps using AASA, MVC, mobile UI/UX design, EJB, XML, XSL, Servlets, JMS, HTML, jQuery, JavaScript, and SQL. Prior working experience in Spring, Jasper Reports, Hibernate, Websphere MQ, WAS, DB2 and X.509 will be a definite advantage;
- Strong schema design and DB2 DBA background are desirable for the roles related to database design;
- Good technical writing skill and prior working experience in banking sector is preferable;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
