The Role

The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

Monitor and control day to day security operations delivering by contracted teams
Monitor security contractor performance by selecting and training on-site team member
Respond and investigate security incidents and emergencies
Assist in ensuring strict compliance of terminal safety rules
Conduct initial investigation and coordination with Health & Safety Team and other technical units regarding safety incidents as to avoid reoccurrence
Conduct various kinds of Security Drill and Exercise e.g Fire, Chemical Spillage, Hostage etc.
Ensure proper execution of terminal’s Port Facility Security Plan
Assist in security training, awareness, and education programs
Coordinate and liaise with internal (functions and departments etc.) and external interested parties (authorities and customers etc.)

The Person

The ideal candidate should have / be:

Diploma in security management or related discipline
5 years' experience in security practices and operations with 1-year in supervisory level
Familiar with container terminal operations is preferrable
Good knowledge of ISPS Code is an advantage
Conversant with PC and Microsoft Office application (Word and Excel)
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Valid driving license (Classification codes: 1 & 2) with good driving record
Willing to perform shift duty
