Responsibilities:

Advise senior leadership on legal compliance of corporate and business affairs
Work with key stakeholders to ensure legal conformity across the business in maintaining internal and external integrity of organizational reputation
Review terms and conditions of agreements, contracts and tender documents related primarily to property development including acquisition of land, construction and first-hand sales
Develop and implement policies, guidelines, and procedures to mitigate legal exposure across business lines
Drafting of agreements and legal documents
Support negotiation of contracts and agreements with clients and business partners
Attend meetings with business partners or senior leadership and provide legal advice
Manage legal risks of business initiatives and advise senior leadership on legal matters arising from ongoing business
Manage and handle litigation of the Group
Keep senior leadership informed of relevant legal, statutory and regulatory developments concerning employer’s businesses
Ad hoc projects as assigned by the senior leadership

Requirements:

Qualified Lawyer with PQE 10 years or above from a reputable law firm. In-house or corporate experience desirable; exposure to property development, construction or related sectors is highly preferred; previous M&A experience would be a plus
In-depth knowledge of contract, property and construction laws
Practical experience in dealing with all contract related to property development including land purchase, development plan, sales & purchase especially familiar with first hand property sales regulations and tenancy
Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English, Cantonese and Mandarin
Competent in drafting and reviewing high-value legal documentations under time pressure
Uncompromising business ethics and integrity
Ability to develop close partnerships with all business units while being impartial and professional
