Assistant Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

1. Full-Set Accounting & Financial Management


  • Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and inventory accounting. 

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for domestic and international transactions (e.g., raw material imports, finished goods exports)

  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely reconciliation of accounts and compliance with IFRS/GAAP

2. Audit & Compliance


  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and resolving audit queries

  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent financial discrepancies

  • Stay updated on tax regulations, trade compliance, and accounting standards relevant to the garment industry

3. Budgeting & Financial Reporting


  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to align financial plans with business objectives

  • Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and management reports

  • Analyze production costs, overheads, and profitability to support pricing and operational decisions

4. Bank & Treasury Management


  • Act as the primary contact for banks, managing relationships, credit facilities, and foreign exchange transactions

  • Monitor cash flow, optimize working capital, and ensure liquidity for daily operations and strategic investments

5. Team Leadership & Process Improvement


  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering accuracy and efficiency in financial operations

  • Streamline accounting workflows using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and automation tools

Requirements


  • DSE / Form 5 or above

  • 5+ years in accounting management, preferably in garment manufacturing, trading, or a related industry

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Tally) and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)

  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and tax filings (VAT, GST, corporate tax)

  • Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities & work independentantly

  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with banks, auditors, and cross-functional teams.

  • Able to withstand pressure, responsible and proactive

  • Fluency in English, Mandarin & Cantonese
