Events Services Executive

Regional media company has an opening in its events management division for an Events Services Executive. Having prior experience running corporate events, you will assist the
Events Manager of Events Services in putting together high quality events for corporate clients.

This position will see you responsible for duties including sourcing and negotiating the best deals on suitable venues, establishing relationships and liaising with suppliers, coordination with various vendors during setup, as well as operational support for the company’s small and large scale events. It will be an advantage if you’ve experience in running virtual events.

You will work great in a team environment, but also be able to keep things moving on your own and you will need to work closely with our production, editorial and other teams throughout the company.

We are looking for a driven and articulate individual, passionate about negotiating and relationship building. You must be a team player yet able to work independently if and when required. The successful applicant must be effectively bilingual in both English and Cantonese, have a strong understanding of events and new media and confident in engaging and conversing with senior level professionals. Be prepared to work long hours and over weekends if required.

Required skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills (in English & Mandarin) in order to liaise with multilingual associates;

• Strong PC and design software skills;

• Basic video editing is a plus;

• Strong attention to detail and good troubleshooting skills;

• A problem-solver;

• Excellent multi-tasker;

• Creative and innovative in conceptualizing proposals;

Other pre-requisites:

• Tertiary qualification;

• Preferably 1 – 2 years’ experience in the events management industry;
