Job description
Our client, a renowned foreign corporate bank, is seeking a Credit Analyst/Monitoring (Director) candidate to cover the Asia-Pacific region.
Job Description
- Conduct credit reviews and analyses for existing and prospective corporate and financial institution (FI) clients (including banks and non-banks such as securities firms), primarily in Taiwan and Korea, with occasional reviews of customers in Hong Kong and China based on credit proposals and related information.
- As an analyst (without approval authority), provide independent, impartial, and valuable recommendations on credit proposals and credit-related matters to the Department's management, informed by the credit reviews and analyses.
- Assign appropriate credit ratings in accordance with the Bank's rating procedures and relevant guidelines.
- Collect credit-related information about customers from both internal and external sources, such as financial institution clients, public authorities, credit agencies, and other banks.
- Visit customer offices or premises as needed to gather more detailed and accurate information.
- Provide training to trainees and colleagues in related departments when required.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisors as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Banking; CFA designation preferred.
- 7-12 years of relevant experience, preferably in the banking industry.
- Strong PC skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Japanese and Mandarin is a plus.
- Ability to work independently.
- Willingness to undertake occasional business trips.
