Event Officer

Major Duties :

To liaise with venue hirers in organising both local and international events, i.e. budgetary estimation, logistic arrangements, layout plans, venue arrangements and site decoration;

To communicate with internal and external parties to ensure smooth implementation of the events ranging from drafting correspondence, proposals to policy papers;

To support on-site events and liaise with hirers on finance related matters;

To maintain sustainable relationships with strategic partners and communicate with them in various collaborative events;

To manage venue booking including but not limited to assessment of booking applications, maintenance of booking calendar and handling enquiries from hirers;

To support organising and provide administration service for events organised by HKDI; and

To provide secretarial and administrative support to various boards / committees / working groups.

Requirements :

A recognised degree or equivalent;

At least 2 years’ relevant experience preferably in organising events with international arts / cultural / design organisations;

Good knowledge in IT applications such as MS Office and Photoshop;

Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese, and preferably including Putonghua;

Good communication and administrative / project / event management skills; and

Proactive and be able to work independently under pressure.
