Quality Manager (Apparel)
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing all QC preproduction and bulk apparel related activities across China, SEA
- Requires close coordination and working relationships between HK QC Hub, Merchandising, Compliance and direct liaison with the customers
- Ensuring customer quality is understood in the field through training, supervision and support
- Setting and tracking KPI’s to track vendor, QC and QA performance – generating reports for internal and external analysis / action
- Overseeing and managing factory evaluations / CAPs
- Building strong trust and credibility with the customers
- Coordinating and lead investigations into customer DC/store rejects through Root Cause Analysis and CAP
- Engaging with merchandising team to influence sourcing strategy
- Monitoring QC expenses, creating a lean and efficient team
- Supporting various quality project initiatives
- Quality process/ manual review
- Review and analyze lab-test, performance and statistical reports
Requirements
- DSE / Form 5 or above
- At least 10-year relevant working experience with minimum 8 years at managerial level
- Familiar with both Woven and Knit garment items with proven track record in production, quality control management and QA technical
- Solid experience in a similar position or comparable leadership role for US retailers or trading companies
- Hands on knowledge and experience of apparel manufacturing processes is essential
- Possess knowledge in factory safety and apparel safety requirements for USA and EU
- Sound knowledge in technical patterns and construction.
- Strong leadership skills to manage teams and related department
- Good problem solving and communication skills to deal with customers and factories
- Independent, well-organized and presentable
- Good command of written & spoken in English. Mandarin and Asian languages would be an advantage
