Procurement Supervisor Apparel & Soft goods

Solo midocean is the largest player in the personalised Clothing & Gifts industry in Europe, dedicated to delivering custom design products to our vast network of distributors. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Supervisor to join our team and oversee the procurement of sportswear, custom made clothing-, bags and other soft goods, ensuring efficiency and excellence in the ordering and procurement process.
Position Overview
As the Procurement Supervisor for Apparel & Soft Goods, you will lead 3 teams of procurement officers and which handle 150+ orders daily, shipped from our factories in Asia and Europe. You will be responsible for supporting the teams in their daily interaction with our Sales offices and vendors, enhancing supplier relationships, and ensuring that our products meet our quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor 12-14 procurement officers across 3 teams.
- Develop and implement workflows that optimize the performance.
- Utilize analytical skills to the assess ordering process and supplier performance.
- Maintain supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of our orders and solve any arising issues.
-Implement/improve workflows that increase the conversion of inquiries to orders.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the garment industry, with a strong focus on procurement and/or printing of fabrics.
- Proven experience in leading or supervising merchandising or procurement teams.
- Experience in producing sports garments and activewear is a significant advantage.
- Strong analytical and process-oriented mindset to oversee the processing and procurement of daily orders.
- Results-oriented approach with a track record of achieving procurement goals.
- In-depth knowledge of garment production processes.
- Familiarity with fabric printing techniques is important.
-Proficient in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
