Kindergarten Teacher & Early Primary Educator

We are seeking a collaborative teacher who understands that teaching is a shared journey. You will partner with an experienced, independent program lead, blending your strengths to create a secure, nurturing, and high-reaching environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Early Years Focus (K1–K3): Co-leading the bilingual classroom, foundational literacy (Phonics, Reading), and social-emotional development.

• Primary Enrichment (Grades 1–6): Deliver, plan and teach courses (Creative Writing, Public Speaking, Book Clubs) and providing targeted academic coaching for schools in Hong Kong, US and UK.

• Conduct one-on-one academic coaching with students

• Manage individual student portfolios and perform ongoing student assessments

• Advise students on community service projects, internships, and other individual pursuits

• Communicate effectively with parents with occasional consultations

• Collaborate in curriculum development: course and unit planning

• Co-lead and co-plan daily classroom routines, modelling healthy communication, mutual respect, and shared accountability with the lead teacher.

• Introduce courses and services to prospective students, parents, and community partners

Key Requirements:

• At least two years of experience teaching Kindergarten to Grade 6 students (Kindergarten/elementary school)

• Bachelor’s degree and native fluency in English

• Passionate about teaching and mentoring children and young people

• Demonstrated academic excellence and exemplary critical and creative thinking skills 

• Demonstrated leadership ability and service experience

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate others 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proactive; keen to take the initiative to develop curriculum and build our community

“Great-to-Have”s

• Previous experience teaching at an IB or international school

• Experience teaching IB, PYP, and/or MYP courses 

• PGDE/PGCE/masters in education/similar qualification

• Experience in the creative arts or innovative scientific work 

• Interest in curriculum design, educational research, educational technology, pedagogy, and cognitive psychology 

• Ability to connect with children and their parents 

• Thrives in a collaborative environment

• Willingness to learn and continue with professional development

• Demonstrates experience in implementing inclusive classroom strategies, scaffolding for diverse learning profiles, and managing behaviour with dignity and patience.
