Sales Engineer - Security Services

Position Summary

We are seeking a technically competent and results-driven Sales Engineer to grow our security systems business. The role combines technical pre-sales support with commercial responsibility for winning projects, developing client relationships and meeting sales targets across assigned territories or market segments.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities with end-users, consultants and contractors; manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract close.

• Provide technical pre-sales support: conduct site surveys, prepare solution proposals, system architecture diagrams and quotations.

• Respond and prepare commercial/technical proposals and presentations.

• Conduct product demonstrations, Proof-of-Concepts (PoC) and client workshops; translate customer requirements into viable solutions.

• Coordinate with engineering, project management and procurement teams to ensure feasibility, pricing accuracy and smooth handover to delivery teams.

• Negotiate contract terms, pricing and scope; manage change requests and ensure profitable project margins.

• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline and activity records in CRM; meet or exceed revenue and margin targets.

• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, vendor products and competitive landscape; support marketing and product selection decisions.

• Participate in trade shows, client meetings and after-sales support activities as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunications / Security Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.

• Experience in sales or pre-sales electronic security systems, physical security integration, CCTV/IP video, access control or building systems.

• With technical knowledge of CCTV, IP video, access control, intrusion detection, cabling and basic networking.

• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and managing complex sales cycles.

• Experience preparing proposals, technical drawings and commercial bids.

• Good presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency with CRM systems and MS Office.
