VSA is now recruiting an enthusiastic and committed teacher for the above position for the school year beginning August 2026.

Key responsibilities:

As a Mathematics Teacher (50%):

Teach 2–3 MYP Mathematics classes, using a range of effective instructional strategies and assessment methods
Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student inquiry, perseverance, and reflective thinking
Plan, teach, and assess using the IB framework and school planning documents
Set clear learning objectives and maintain high expectations of student achievement
Prepare detailed progress reports and communicate effectively with parents
Contribute to the wider school community through homeroom responsibilities and After School Activities (ASAs)

As a Data & Timetable Administrator (50%):

Manage and analyse school data using tools such as Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
Assisting with the annual school timetable construction and ongoing maintenance using the Edval software system
Responsible for managing student and staff data within the school's Management Information System (ManageBac)
Collaborate with the Data Coordinator and Core Pedagogical Leadership Team (CPLT) to prepare data reports for academic review and tracking student performance
Ensure accuracy and confidentiality in the handling of all student and staff information
Liaise with the IT team to ensure data systems integration and resolve basic technical issues related to the timetable and data platforms
Commit to learning and mastering specialized systems such as Edval and ManageBac

The ideal candidate will have:

An undergraduate degree in Mathematics and a recognized teaching qualification
A passion for teaching Mathematics and experience with subject enrichment
An ability to work in a large team and to coordinate their own short- and medium-term planning with others
Familiarity with and ideally experience teaching IB MYP/DP
A commitment to student centred inquiry based learning
Enthusiasm for pastoral care and building strong relationships with students; this includes homeroom teacher and PSHE responsibilities
A growth-mindset, looking to continually improve
Demonstrated ability to adapt to a new cultural environment
