Key Responsibilities:

Trading and Execution

Gather and compare quotes from suppliers across multiple jurisdictions.
Recommend the optimal counterparty by evaluating price, stock availability, and the associated logistical arrangements.
Execute trades efficiently and accurately across global markets.
Monitor market trends, price movements, and trading volumes to support informed decision-making.
Implement hedging strategies when required.

Payment and Settlement

Ensure timely and accurate settlement of trades and transactions.
Coordinate with internal teams and external counterparties to manage payment flows.
Track and verify all transaction details to maintain accuracy and compliance.

Communication and Logistical Follow-Up

Maintain effective communication with trading partners and internal stakeholders.
Oversee post-trade processes and resolve discrepancies or settlement issues.
Arrange and follow up on secure logistics arrangements to fulfil the trades.

Task Management

Prioritize daily activities in a fast-paced environment.
Balance multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Compliance and Reporting

Adhere to company policies, internal controls, and applicable regulations.
Prepare regular reports on trading activities, financial exposure, and performance.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in trading, preferably in precious metals, commodities, or financial markets .
Understanding of secure logistics or physical asset handling is an advantage.

Skills

Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent multitasking and time management skills under pressure.

Technical Proficiency

Familiarity with trading and settlement systems, as well as financial platforms.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, financial modeling, data analysis).

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration , or related field (advantageous).

Languages

Fluent in English ; proficiency in Cantonese is highly advantageous.
