We are seeking for applications for the following position:

Job Duties

To assist in liaison, planning, coordination, implementation and review of library programme
To assist in designing and organizing fun-filled and interactive activities suitable for people of different ages, generations and ethnicities
To liaise and coordinate with branch libraries, community libraries, education sectors, cultural and youth organizations, NGOs and commercial bodies, etc for organizing reading promotion activities and outreach programmes
To assist in procurement, contract management and performance monitoring matters of service contracts for reading promotion projects
To draft details and provide input to the design and production of promotional materials activities, to liaise with contractors, to monitor the production, delivery and distribution or publicity materials
To provide administrative support, including work relating to monitoring the circulation of the collection, shelving and storage of library materials, handling enquiries and complaints, liaising with colleagues, ordering and receiving items, maintaining databases, collecting statistics for analysis and general office duties
To handle staff management matters, such as drafting and controlling the duties and work schedules of supporting staff, to provide coaching and training, to monitor staff performance, etc

Employment Terms

8 months work contract, with possibility of renewal
Work Hours: 5 days work, 8.8 hours work per day, normally 0915-1803 from Monday to Friday. Off on Sat, Sun and PH. Time-off in lieu will be given for overtime work
Working location: Mongkok
Salary : $24,880 per month

Candidates Requirement:

Have a bachelor's degree from a HK university or equivalent
Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the HKCEE or HKDSE, or equivalent (e.g Level 2 in CRE)
At least one year working experience
Be fluent in Cantonese, English and Putonghua
Have good knowledge and proficiency in computer applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing;
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in public library or event management
Immediately available or with short notice
