Position Overview

As the first employee and Engagement and Fundraising Manager of Paws for Good, you will be the cornerstone of our newly registered charity, responsible for developing and executing impactful programs that align with our mission to advance animal welfare and human connection. This role is perfect for a highly organized, creative problem-solver who thrives on turning ideas into action. You’ll design initiatives from the ground up, manage events, and drive marketing efforts to amplify our reach and impact.

The ideal candidate is a strategic multitasker with a strong marketing background, a passion for collaboration, and the ability to work fluidly across program design, community engagement, and storytelling. You’ll partner closely with the Director while independently leading projects, building relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring initiatives deliver meaningful results. Key Responsibilities

1. Program / Event Development & Management

- Design, plan, and execute charitable and donation programs

- Come up with innovative event concepts to drive engagement, donations, and community connections.

2. Communication & Operational Support

- Creatively manage the Paws for Good social media account and content creation

- Help build operational frameworks (e.g., volunteer systems, donor tracking) as the organization scales

- Manage day-to-day tasks: scheduling, reporting, and database management

3. Community & Relationship Building

- Cultivate partnerships with local businesses, shelters, volunteers, and donors.

- Serve as a friendly ambassador at events and outreach activities.

- Manage donor relationships and communications, including thank-you notes and impact updates.

Requirement

- 6+ years in creative / marketing agency, event coordination, community engagement or non-profit.

- Demonstrated success in managing projects from concept to completion. Experience working with volunteers, donors, or partner organizations

- Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required) in Communications, Marketing, or a related field / equivalent work experience.

- Flexibility for occasional evening/weekend work during campaigns or events

- Passion for animal welfare, enjoy working with people and in alignment with Paws for Good’s mission.
