The Company

My client is a hedge fund with seed money from a solid financial institution. They are looking for a new headcount as an accountant due to business expansion.

The Role

Responsibilities:
* Manage daily accounting entries and maintain supporting documents.
* Conduct expense analysis to ensure budget control.
* Prepare financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards in Hong Kong.
* Provide periodic cashflow and liquidity forecasts.
* Prepare and submit FRR (Financial Resources Rules) and other required documents to the SFC (Securities and Futures Commission).
* Prepare reports for the Finance Committee and provide related minutes, reporting to the Board of Directors as necessary.
* Coordinate with internal and external parties on audits, tax returns, and other accounting and financial matters.
* Oversee intra-company cash management.
* Perform additional duties and ad hoc tasks as assigned, including marketing or business compliance-related responsibilities.

Your Profile

Requirements:
* Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
* Possess experience in the asset management industry and familiarity with the SFO (Securities and Futures Ordinance) and Hong Kong Company Ordinance.
* Hold a CPA qualification.
* Have at least three years of working experience in an accounting-related field.
* Familiarity with QuickBooks and Xero is advantageous.
* Proficient in PC applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Fluent in spoken and written English.
* Proactive, self-motivated, responsible, and well-organized, with high attention to detail.
* Strong time management and communication skills.
* Willingness to assist with other team duties.
* Maintain a positive and can-do approach to all aspects of the role.
